For a low price, you can get a service that far exceeds that of its free counterpart. There will be better uptime, more features and better data allotments. In short, free web hosts are more of a hassle than they are worth.

On top of that, free hosts often don’t have support for scripting languages or databases. A scripting language is something that lets you do interesting, dynamic things on your site. Anytime you perform a product search on a website, you are relying on a scripting language. Databases are also important, as that is where you store large amounts of information. In a product search, for example, the database would be where you store your product information. Blogging engines also rely on both PHP and MySQL.
There are a lot of limitations with free web hosting. An inexpensive web hosting service is a much better option. It gives you more content control and security.
The bottom line is that free web hosting is not worth it. You can get a nice site for an inexpensive price, and you will have none of the hassle. Don’t risk your name on a free host.
